Shop Till You Drop with LouLou Magazine

Last week I attended one of LOULOU's Shop Till You Drop Events. I had never gone to one before and I wasn't sure what to expect. There was a huge LOULOU closet full of the latest trends and many vendors were offering freebies and discounts. There was tea samples from David's Tea and I got to try a bunch of fun lipstick colours from MAC.  I was super excited to get my makeup done by Boujois. The girls did a wonderful job and I now have a long list of new make up to purchase (which I will hopefully be going to grab from Shoppers this week).

I also got a ton of awesome swag and a ton of gift cards and coupons. I am super excited to try all of the new to me products that were in the bag and cannot wait for my first copy of my LOULOU subscription to make it into my mail box.

I had every intention of taking an outfit photo to share by only ended up taking a photo of my shoes...typical me. haha. I my new shoes! Which I am loving and am so happy I decided to get them. I paired them with a white peplum top and a classic tan trench coat.

Did anyone else attend a LOULOU event?

Target Canada

Its FINALLY here! It has arrived. The doors are open! To say I was excited for the opening of Target in Canada is an understatement. Every time I would go to the mall I would glance over to what once was Zellers and hope Target was FINALLY open. Well now it is and I am sad to say I was underwhelmed.  It was tiny. Which shouldn't have come as a shock. I knew all along how big the Zellers was but seriously it was small. They tried to fit all their departments in which meant that each department didn't get the full range of products. They should have focused on their best selling departments allowing them to be larger and leave the other stuff for things like Canadian Tire etc. I also felt that it was poorly laid out. It was a maze. Things weren't where you thought they would be. And the prices... not spectacular. I wasn't wowed or floored or jumping up and down. They also didn't have any designer clothes collection to kick off the opening, which I thought was just plain silly.

What I did like however was the selection of accessories (shoes, scarves, purses etc) and the home decor selection. Their grocery selection is decent but I wouldn't forgo the grocery store all together. I liked how eco friendly it was. The lights in the fridge/freezers only turned on when someone walked into the isle. Which was super cool. They also had a great selection of Essie Nail Polish and their beauty section was well organized which I liked. Overall I am not going to stop going to Target but I don't think I will be purchasing as much there as I had thought I would be.

What did you think of Targets opening in Canada?

DC

Hi everyone,
I am finding it harder and harder to find time to post. But in as I am avoiding physics even though I have a quiz tomorrow now seemed like the perfect time. ha ha. Last week I was in DC on a school trip, which meant shopping among other things. The trip was amazing, I learned so much and saw so many inspiring things. D.C. is beautiful and I loved all the monuments. I would love to go back one day. Here are some pictures from my trip:

I fed the birds, I felt like I was in Mary Poppins. :P

The White House. We didn't go inside because we didn't have time but we did a lot of other amazing things. We went to the Holocaust museum, which words can not describe.

Here is what I brought:

I was really sad that the mall that we went to didn't have an AA so I couldn't get the oversized cardigan that I wanted. I did however go into an Anthropologie. Let me just say that their website doesn't do the store justice, I didn't get anything from there though. I also went into a VS and I didn't see anything that I was dying to get so I held off. F21 was okay, I thought it would be a lot better, the prices were much better then they are here, but the selection surprisingly wasn't as great. I did find some stuff I liked though.

I got this shirt from Abercrombie Kids because it was cute and on sale. I really liked the cut, and it looks really good with jeans.

My Steve Madden boots. I love them, I have been looking everywhere for boots and I finally found some that I liked!

From Forever 21:

I couldn't find the sweater dress that I got online, but its sort of the love child between these two dresses. Its grey. When I'm not so lazy maybe I'll take a picture.

These tights are really cute, I love how they are ribbed. I was very disappointed that these were the only colour they had and the only style they had where they were footed tights. I was planning on loading up on tights while I was there but it didn't happen...oh well.

They also didn't have that many head bands. This one was cute and I really liked the colours and the pattern.

Anyway I hope you all have a good week. Hopefully I'll be able to post more soon. I better get back to studying.

Lots of Love,

Belle

Shopping and DIY

Heyy Everyone,
I can't believe that it is already back to school on Tuesday. I don't know where my summer went. It went by so fast! I know that I said I would do a wish list post, however I am still not 100% sure of what I really want yet. I might just add an item to the end of each post for now, but I am not sure. I volunteered at a theatre camp the past 2 weeks and the first week the kids put on Horton hears a who and then they put on Wicked. I have had the Wicked songs stuck in my head for days. I went to see Vicky, Christina, Barcelona. yesterday, it was a pretty good movie, although I don't think that I really understood it. Barcelona was beautiful and I really want to visit it one day. I have been shopping which is always fun, and here is some of what I bought:

I got this grey vest, which I love.

I also got a beret. I have wanted one for a while, but I could never seem to find one that looked right. This one is perfect.

These headbands are really cute, and they are only $1.50 for 2. I couldn't resist. I got 2 black ones, a purple one and a white one.

I really wanted these Coach shoes for a while. I finally got them. I love them, they are very comfortable and cute.
A DIY:
I found an old card, and decided that it was too pretty to throw away, so I covered the inside with pink paper, and then glued in some post its. I love post it notes, they are one of the greatest inventions ever. I use them all the time. Now mine are covered and look like a note book, which is held closed by 2 buttons. If you would like more information on how to make one, just ask.

Anyways that's all for me for now. I am working on another Canadian designer post, so check back soon.
