Summer Beauty Essentials

Summer Beauty

With summer just around the corner its time to start lighting my beauty routine and including some more products with SPF. The hot summer heat means that I don't want to layer a ton of make up on my face and I hopefully have a nice natural glow. Here are my summer beauty essentials:

Sunscreen - Sunscreen is a must in the summer. I burn very quickly so I always start out with a good base of sunscreen. I love this one because it goes on smoothly and isn't greasy at all.

BB Cream - I tend not to wear foundation in the summer but I do still like some coverage. I am loving this BB Cream. It is light and has SPF 30 so I can skip the sunscreen step and be out the door that much faster. It provides a light coverage thats just enough to cover those imperfections.

Lipgloss - I love a shine on my lips but we can't forget that they also can burn. This lipgloss has some protection and a great shine.

Mascara - I can't leave the house without. I have been using Great Last since forever. I love blackest black and will only use waterproof if I know I will be going swimming that day.

Nail Polish - I love a bright polish in the summer and Essie has a ton of great shades to choose from. I currently have this one (Mesmerized) on my toes!

New Beauty Buys

It has been forever since I bought makeup (other then foundation and mascara).  I have been using MAC eye shadow and I have been using it for years and I love it but I wanted something different. I have been hearing great things about Urban Decay and their Naked Pallets. I decided to get the original Naked pallet (mostly because Naked 2 was sold out). They are fairly similar and since I don't have any Urban Decay eyeshadow I wasn't too picky.

I have been really liking the naked pallet so far. The colours are beautiful and they go on nice and smooth even without the primer that it comes with. I think the best part of the whole pallet though is the brush. It is my new favourite. It is very densely packed so you get a ton of coverage with it. The best make up brush I have ever received with a pallet by far.

I also finally caved and purchased MAC's Fluid-line. It is their gel eyeliner and all the reviews that I have read have said that it is the best one. It is pretty reasonably priced at $18 but if you have to buy the brush as well it can really add up. I have been using it on a daily basis since I got it and I love how easy it is to use. Nice and forgiving. You can easily fix any mistakes you have made and it is fairly easy to wipe off before it dries. I love that it stays on my bottom lashline all day and that I can wear as much or as little as a like.

Summer Beauty

Summer Beauty

In the summer I like to keep my make up light and fresh. I find it takes too much effort to apply a ton of make up in the heat.  I choose to feature all Sephora items as they are easily accessible online.   I love the tinted moisturizer its a lighter version of the foundation I normally use and adds just enough colour.  I find in the summer a bit of mascara and a touch of blush is all I need. I love the light colour and added SPF of the Sugar lip gloss ( I recently discovered this, it was the Sephora Beauty Insider's Birthday gift this year!).  Of course if I don't wear any make up, I always apply some sunscreen!

Beauty Post

Heyy Everyone,

I haven't done a makeup/beauty post in what feels like forever. The cold weather has taken a toll on my skin. It has been really dry lately. My skin care army consists of water, lots of moisturizer and lip balm.

I got a new Mac Pallet for Christmas and I have been meaning to share it with you. The pictures aren't great, but the colours are better then the ones from the site ( I find that they are always off). The gold pallet is the one I got last year and the red one is this years.

These are the colours from this years pallet. The thing I love about the pallets is that all the colours go nicely together, and you can easily create many different looks. The green in this pallet is really pretty, its a bit brighter in real life.

Even the design of the pallets are beautiful. I like last years design better then this years.

I really like these colours and tend to wear them on a daily basis. The dark blue is beautiful as well as the silver.

I don't have much time to post this week. Hopefull I will have more time next week.
I hope that everyone is almost done their exams. If not good luck.
Love,
belle

Shopping!!!

Hello all,
I can't believe that it is already March!!! Even with that extra day in February, it still felt very short.
I was at the mall today, and I ran out of my face wash and needed some more. The lady at the store kept trying to convince me that I didn't want that one and that I wanted a different one, which was better for my skin. I was like no I use the other one, I don't like that one I have tried it. Anyway I ended up not getting any, so now I still need to get my face wash.
I really want to get some Lip Conditioner from MAC. I love how it has a light tint and isn't gooey, plus it has an SPF 15.

Anyway, a few weeks ago now, how time flies, I went shopping at Forever 21. I have never been before and it is HUGE!!! I didn't know where to look next. I could have spent a day in there, but I didn't have a lot of time, so here is some of what I bought:

I love this cardigan, I am wearing it right now actually.

I really needed a pair of pants that weren't jeans.

So this is how I have worn them, the purple tank top is from Urban Planet I believe, and the necklace is FOXY.

I didn't really own a longer top like this one. It ties in the back and looks really good on.

I'm sorry for the bad photos. I couldn't figure out how to take a picture of the ring. With flash with out flash, semi flash. Anyway I finally sort of figured it out. As for the ring it I love it and it was only like $6.
Anyway thats all for me for now

Mark

Mark by Avon has some great products. I love their catalogue because it has many day to night looks. Here are some of my favorites from Mark.

This necklace can be worn either long or short. If you wear it short you remove the beaded sections and you can wear them as bracelets.

These rings are cute, give a pop of colour and are only $14.

These hook-ups are great because you can pick two of anything and connect them depending on what you need that day. You can hook-up an eyeliner and a lip gloss or an eyeliner and an eyeshadow etc.

These pallet are amazing. You can pick whatever colours you want and you can mix and match them and change them, everything is magnetic. They have two different sized pallets.

I really like this top because it is so simple and can be dressed up or dressed down. It would look really good with a pair of jeans and a clutch.

Anyway thats all for now.

Make-up. Art. Cosmetics.

I love M.A.C. Make-up and I am in love with their holiday collection. Hopefully its not to late for me to get my hands on one of these pallets.

This is the pallet closed. I think that it is just so pretty, and a perfect size to throw in your purse so that you can take it everywhere with you.

This is the Royal Assets Smokey Eyes. It costs $36US and I believe $48CND, which is so not fair seeing as the Canadian Dollar is higher but that's another topic for another time. The prices are pretty reasonable, you get 6 eye shadows plus a MAC brush(which are also amazing!).
This is definitely going on my Christmas list.
