Scarf Inspiration

I have a thing for scarves. I love how they can instantly make an outfit look that much chicer. As the weather gets colder more and more of my outfits contain a scarf. Here is some inspiration from my Pinterest Board.

Apple Picking

Fall is one of my favourite seasons. I was so excited to go apple picking last year and I loved the farm that we visited but last year wasn't a great one for apples here in Ontario and we went very late in the season that there wasn't much left. This year I jumped on the chance to go apple picking earlier on in the season, so there was plenty of apples left on the trees. We went to a different farm since it was closer and they also offered U-Pick raspberries. Unfortunately there wasn't any U-Pick Raspberries offered that day but we got plenty of apples! I ended up taking home more apples then I know what to do with. So be prepared for a ton of apple posts in the near future (I'm sorry, unless you really like apples then You're Welcome).  

When we got to the stand we were asked if we wanted to pick a half bushel or a full bushel. We went with a half bushel and even then I didn't realize just how many apples it would be. But they are so fresh and delicious. I have been adding apples to everything from smoothies and salads to pies and crisps.

Niagara Falls Getaway

This past weekend we escaped to Niagara Falls for a mini getaway to enjoy the Grape and Wine Festival.

We purchased a Discovery Pass that allowed us to go to eight different wineries and sample their wine paired with a food item of their choice. Since we didn't know a ton about wine we decided to choose the wineries based on what food they were serving. We had everything from sausage's on buns to butternut squash soup.  The Discovery Pass was well worth the money and we even found a couple of new wines that we really loved.

Unfortunately we didn't get the best weather on Saturday when we were actually doing our wine tastings. We choose most of the wineries in Niagara On The Lake and many people were biking from winery to winery. I would love to go back for another weekend and do a bike tour. It looked like it would have been a lot of fun if it wasn't raining. We were lucky enough to have a friend DD for us, so we weren't caught in the rain too much. 

Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day. Our Bed and Breakfast, where we stayed, was a short walk away from the Falls.

Since we were only going for the weekend I packed light, only bringing one pair of shoes ( shocking I know!). A good trench coat was a must since it was raining and cool most of the weekend.

Pink Scooter

 The BFs mom got a new pink Vespa and I was super excited to check it out (really I just wanted to take photos with it! Lol). How cute is though? I think it makes the perfect accessory, even if I don't exactly know how to drive it.

Day at the Farm

I finally got a time to spend the day at a farm and go apple picking! I have been dying to go for weeks now and am so excited to make some pie with my freshly picked apples.  It was the first day that it wasn't raining and although it was a bit chilly it was a perfect day at the farm.

The farm had all these cute signs telling you what kind of apples were in each row.  Many of the apples were finished for the season by the time we went so hopefully I can try and get there earlier next year. 

 The farm also had tractor rides and an awesome corn maze. The corn maze was fun to wander through  and it was fun to watch all the kids also visiting the farm race through the maze trying to beat each other to the end. 

I have been enjoying fall so much this year and I am not ready for the colder weather that has slowly been moving in. I wish we could have a longer fall and a shorter winter. I am really enjoying all the fall clothes, boots and activities.

My school year has been crazy busy so far with no signs of it slowing down. Fridays feel like such a relief when they finally appear after gloomy Mondays.  The weather has started to cool off a bit which I am loving. I am enjoying breaking out the fall wardrobe and wearing scarves again!  This is another outfit that I wore to class. 

I was super excited when I went to American Eagle and they had coloured skinny cords. I debated for a while which colour to get. They had a really pretty light pink and teal colour but I decided to go with the light grey colour because I felt I could get the most wear out of them. They are so comfortable and perfect for fall.

What I Wore: To Class

 The last couple of days have been gorgeous! The weather has been not too hot that I am drowning in sweat on the way to class, but just warm enough that I can get away with not wearing a jacket.

 I got this scarf on a trip to the States last year from Target. I love how it is reversible and that the pink in the flowers just happened to perfectly match my top

A little bit of sparkle

I've had these jeans forever and they are super comfortable but I never know how to wear them.  I always feel like it just doesn't look right. I am so used to my skinny jeans. However I loved them paired with this top, it added that touch of sparkle that was needed. The sweater is a recent purchase and I absolutely love it. I know I will be wearing it well into winter it is the perfect amount of cozy for studying. 

I got this hat a few weeks ago and have been wearing it ever since.

Hi Everyone,

I joined the track team at school once again. I really don't love running as some people do, but I hear that you can come to love it. The days that I don't run I do feel more sluggish and feel the need to go run. So maybe I am starting to enjoy it. I have seen the changes in my body already, it is starting to become stronger. I hate the feeling of sore muscles after a workout but I love knowing that I worked hard and pushed myself.

I have been trying to make more of a dent in my movies to watch list. It has gotten so long, I don't think that it will ever end. I love watching movies, the good the bad and the in between. I went to see 17 Again, the other day. It was pretty good. I found it very funny and would go see it again. I also watched Footloose, which I loved, and could watch over and over again and never get sick of it. I love old movies.

Exams time is starting to creep up again. They are in about 5 weeks and school is getting super busy. Can I just ask where did all the time go? I can't believe we are already in MAY! It feels like New Years was just yesterday. I have started to get my notes together for exams, because my exam schedule is insane. I know that there will be lots of chocolate ice cream to help me make it through.

We have some yummy apple strudel at home, which I didn't make, but would like to try making one day. It was great with ice cream.

Some of you may remember my semi dress. Well I decided to try wearing it another way, with tights and a belt. I really like how it turned out as well.

Semi Dress

Heyy Everyone,

It once again has been a crazy week. This is the time of year at my school when all the major projects are due, plus play is in less then a month. I am in it this year, and it is a bit stressful, to say the least, but its fun, getting to know people from different grades, who you wouldn't normally get to see. Our semi formal was this past weekend, it was a lot of fun, and every one's dresses were really pretty. As per usual there was some drama, which I was not a part of thankfully, its so much more fun with having to deal with all that other stuff... gives you more time to dance the night away. The theme was masquerade, which made me think of Gossip Girl right away.

I bought the gold mask and added the feathers and the stick (wrapped in ribbon) to make it fancier.

I got both my shoes and my dress from Le Chateau. I really like their dresses and they have cheap but cute shoes.

I loved the bow at the back.And finally the dress...

I wanted something that I wouldn't normally get and was fun. I loved the colours and the print of this one. I am glad that I chose it. ( I pretty much tried on every dress in the store)

Thanksgiving

Heyy Everyone!
Happy late Thanksgiving ! I am stuffed from all the food I ate. Thanksgiving is one of my favourite holidays. I love all the good food and I love fall. This year I decided to make pumpkin pie.

I love baking, I find it very relaxing and often if I don't have anyhting to do I'll start baking. I got the recipe I used here. It's by Anna Olsen, I love her show Sugar on the Food Netwok. It's one of my favourites, although I have a love/hate relationship with Anna, I love what she cooks but personally I sometimes find her annoying.

This year I was one of the people in charge of they food drives at my school. It was a lot of work but it was worth it. We were able to get a lot of food in to help those in need.

I went to a farm yesterday. There was lots of pumpkins, a hay wagon ride, roasted corn and candy apples.

I love this time of fall right now, when the leaves are falling and they get all crunchy. I love fall outfits, the scarves, vests, jeans, boots and jackets. I can't find a good picture of one right now, I know that the Gilmore Girls have it down, but when you are looking for something you can never find it.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!
