Boxing Day

Heyy Everyone,
I hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas. I meant to post yesterday, but I never got a chance too. So Merry Christmas a little late. Today is Boxing Day in Canada, and I went to the mall, I didn't buy anything because the deals weren't amazing, but I did see some stuff that I like.
Hope everyone is having a good holiday so far. I have eaten so many sweets!

This time of year always makes me want to craft and bake. Here are some of my creations, some are new and some are from years past. Enjoy!

So we got two of these shirts somewhere, the original is the one on the right, and I took it and cut it to get the one on the left, which is smaller and fits much better.

Back View.

The "new" shirt

Close up.. I swear that was the last shirt picture I had. lol

For a little while I was really into beading and making jewellery.

Lately I have really been into paper crafts, and I decided to try and make a book, it didn't turn out to bad for my first time.

Here is the book with a card I made for a friend.

I took a bunch of scrap papers, old pictures and magazine pictures that I like and stuck them together to make a book.

If you want more information on any of these just let me know.
Christmas Countdown: Two Days
Hope everyone is having a great holiday so far

When I heard that Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant, my jaw fell to the floor. I was all NO WAY, you LIE!! Its all just gossip! But alas it's true. She seemed so sweet, so innocent. It makes me wonder who is the better mother Jamie or Brit? Did she learn from her sisters mistakes...at least Brit was married. The poor kid, well unless Molly from ashcan rantings, is the baby's nanny.

Who would think that the girl who played Zoey 101 would be pregnant. What an example to set for young fans. The people young girls look up to are forever disapointing them.
Anyway what are your thoughts?

Okay so I have major writers block! I have been racking my brain about what to post about next for days, and I have nothings, hopefully I will get some ideas soon. So you will have to listen to me ramble for a while. lol. Anyway it has been snowing a lot still here. I have my fingers crossed for a snow day tomorrow. It is almost as if all the snow we haven't gotten in the past few years decided to come this year. I love the snow but hate the cold, what can I say I'm weird. There hasn't been any talk of if its going to be a white or green Christmas this year. Well I should get back to my piles of homework, I could be really lame and say it is piling up almost as much as the snow, but I'll save myself the humiliation.

I thought I would leave you with a picture from Gilmore Girls...Random I know but I Love Jess what can I say.

5 December 2007

It has been snowing like crazy here, there is like 30cm of snow on the ground and we had another snow day! I have been really busy there is a lot of work to get done before the Holidays. Anyway here is an outfit that I put together, enjoy!

This sweater is from Old Navy and is $69.50. It is 100% cashmere. I really like this colour, but it comes in a few others.

Guess Canada $93.44

This necklace is really pretty. It is from We Dream in Colour. $195

ALDO shoes. $160

Juicy Stella Scottie Hobo bag, from saks.com. $375

Hope everyone has a good week and Happy Hanukkkah.

Mark by Avon has some great products. I love their catalogue because it has many day to night looks. Here are some of my favorites from Mark.

This necklace can be worn either long or short. If you wear it short you remove the beaded sections and you can wear them as bracelets.

These rings are cute, give a pop of colour and are only $14.

These hook-ups are great because you can pick two of anything and connect them depending on what you need that day. You can hook-up an eyeliner and a lip gloss or an eyeliner and an eyeshadow etc.

These pallet are amazing. You can pick whatever colours you want and you can mix and match them and change them, everything is magnetic. They have two different sized pallets.

I really like this top because it is so simple and can be dressed up or dressed down. It would look really good with a pair of jeans and a clutch.

Anyway thats all for now.

22 November 2007

I love the snow!!! It has been a really long and tiring week, with early and late practices and a ton of projects, so I was so happy when I found out it was a snow day. It doesn't even look that bad outside, but hey I'm not going to complain! Anyway what better to do on a snow day then curl up with a good book and a blanket, and when you are done that you can go outside and make snow angels.
Here are some of my all time favorite books:
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

I love this book. It is one of the best books that I have read.

Books by Sarah Dessen
I love Sarah Dessen and I have read most of her books my favorites are:

I can't wait for her next book to come out.
I just read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice it was amazing, and I can't wait to read more of her books.

The Girls by Lori Lansens

This book is about two conjoined twins and their struggle through life.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares:

I loved the entire series. My favorite was the third summer for sure.
The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards

The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells is tres YaYa!

I have read these two book over and over again:

Love on the Lifts and Thrill Ride by Rachel Hawthorne are great light reads, total teen lit!
And of course HARRY POTTER, by the one and only J.K. Rowling.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Make-up. Art. Cosmetics.

I love M.A.C. Make-up and I am in love with their holiday collection. Hopefully its not to late for me to get my hands on one of these pallets.

This is the pallet closed. I think that it is just so pretty, and a perfect size to throw in your purse so that you can take it everywhere with you.

This is the Royal Assets Smokey Eyes. It costs $36US and I believe $48CND, which is so not fair seeing as the Canadian Dollar is higher but that's another topic for another time. The prices are pretty reasonable, you get 6 eye shadows plus a MAC brush(which are also amazing!).
This is definitely going on my Christmas list.

Coats! Coats! Coats!

So lately I have been stuck in a bit of a rut. I have been wearing the same old, same old for a few weeks now. A pair of jeans with a plain long sleved tshirt, black boots, and my black coat, sometimes I'll throw on a scarf. I just don't seem to have the time to try and come up with something better. Its weird, I wear a uniform to school, now I have a sort of uniform when I am out of school. Hopefully, I will move out of this rut soon.
Okay so here is the coat post that I have been promising. I hope that you enjoy it.
From AE:

I love this coat. I almost bought it, but I decided to go for the all black instead, that way I could wear it with more (such as my school uniform), but this one looks great with jeans. The US price is $129.50, sorry I dont know the canadian one.
From BCBG Max Artiza:

Its cute and simple and I love the belt/tie. Its $495, kinda on the steep side.
From Bluefly:

This coat is a great lenght and the white is really pretty. Its $180.
From Forever21:

So of course I needed to include a red coat, because personally I love red coats. We just got a Forever 21 not to far from where I live, and you can now buy Forever 21 on line in Canada. This coat is from the Candian website and is $69.80.
From Net-a-Porter. (Sorry I don't have the prices on any of these.)

As you all know I love grey. This coat is just perfect for me.

I love the colour and the buttons on this coat.

A more casual coat. I really like the pattern.
From Shopbop:

I really like the lenght and the colour of this coat.

I love gilmore girls so here are some of the coats that Lorelai Gilmore has worn:

I hope that you enjoyed the post, and I will have another one for you soon.
P.S. What do you think of the new header?

We Remember...

I would just like to take the time to remember all those who have fought in war.

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army
IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
