March

I saw this floating around Facebook yesterday. I am not sure where it is originally from but man I can relate. Tuesday we had beautiful weather here and it actually felt like Spring. I was able to go to class in just a light jacket and I could finally wear something other then boots! I was so excited that Spring had finally sprung... But it was just a cruel trick because we got another 20 cm of snow yesterday. Will this winter EVER end?

Snowed In

I was home for the weekend and when I cam back to school I was greeted with 50-70 cm of snow, which basically appeared overnight. What does that look like you ask?

This:

There is snow EVERYWHERE! It makes me not want to leave my house, but cuddle up with some hot chocolate and watch nothing but movies all day but unfortunately I have class. My wishes of a snow day were not answered. While I love the way the snow makes everything look beautiful and magical especially the trees that only seems to last for a day, then it becomes one big slushy grey mess. Its a pain to walk through.

I seem to have a love/hate relationship with snow. I love the first snow fall every year - the one where the big flakes fall down and melt the next day. There is something so perfect and magical about it. Its the snow that sticks and the cold and ice that it brings along with it that I have a problem with.

Snow seems to bring out both the best and the worst in people. People tend to come together to fight the snow - helping neighbours shovel or helping with the car that always seems to get stuck. Snow brings people together. It unites people. It provides a common mutual thing to hate and complain about.

As a kid, there was nothing greater then the perfect packing snow. Spending recess rolling the biggest snow ball that you could manage, often needed two or three friends to help push the giant snowball just a little father on the field. Making snow forts with your siblings and knowing that when you're done there would be hot chocolate waiting inside. There was nothing better, except maybe tobogganing.

Merry Christmas

Hey Everyone,
I love the holidays! No school is bliss. I spent all day yesterday in my pjs, rereading Breaking Dawn. It was great! We have gotten lots more snow, it is a winter wonderland out there. It makes me want to go build a snowman, but its not packing snow which kinda sucks, but its also good because it makes shoveling a lot easier. It was Skate with Santa and the annual ice show last weekend which was a blast as usual. Its so much fun to see all the little children freak out about Santa and skate with their parents ( I think its the first time I didn't here anyone cry because they wanted their mommy or daddy... which was nice) I had a lot of fun with all my friends, we drank hot chocolate and cheered on our fellow skaters in the show. I love to watch everyone perform and do what they love best. It is one of my favourite parts of the holidays.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope that everyone has an amazing, fun, and safe holiday. Enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Merry Christmas... Only one more sleep until Santa!
Love,
belle

Cozy Winter Days

Heyy Everyone!
It is really starting to feel like Christmas. Now I can't help but love the snow, often I complain about it, (I don't really like the cold much) but I love how pretty everything looks. I have been outdoor skating a few times now, and I can't wait to go again! I have been baking Christmas cookies, they smell so good.

I love just wearing pjs all day. My favourite thing to wear is extra big pj bottoms and my brother's ae shirt (that I steal on a regular basis) Here are some of my favourite lounge wear (I might have posted some of these before but they are just so comfortable):

From Arie:

I always have freezing feet. I love these they are so warm. I also love wearing wool socks.

These pjs really cute, and they are grey.

From AE:

Everyone should own this shirt. Guys clothes are so comfortable. I love this shirt, I wear it all the time. I would suggest that you buy it a size bigger to allow for maximum comfort.

From Roots:

These pjs, are super thick and soft. These trackpants are probably my favourite. The track pants from Roots green line are even more comfortable. They are really soft, and are made with organic cotton.

From Pink:

These pjs look really warm. I would love to get a pair.

This shirt looks really warm and comfortable.

Tonight I just want to curl up with either a book or a movie and some hot chocolate.

I will hopefully be able to post more often over the break.
Love,
Belle

Heyy Everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, we were on break from school and I went to Mexico for some sun. I was very disappointed when I got home and found that there was still snow on the ground. I have decided to hide until the weather becomes warm again. Anyway on with the post. One of my favourite accessories is scarves. I love how they can really pull together an outfit.

I would like to congratulate Jeffery Buttle the new Men's Figure Skating World Champion. He had an amazing, clean skate and won the worlds without a Quad! You should have seen me when I found out he won, I was jumping up and down. Ya sometimes I get overly involved. :P

I'm Back!

Hey!
Okay so I have gotten a lot of my homework out of the way, and I am here to post! I was going to do the what's in my purse post, but I don't have a camera, but it is coming soon. It is snowing again, I just came in from shovelling the snow. I love the snow, I like it when you come in and your cheeks are all red and cold and you are slightly out of breath. Outdoor skating is one of my favourite winter time is ski and go outdoor skating, we are had a ski day today and I am going outdoor skating on Sunday. I am a horrible skier but the bunny hill was fun and the smaller hills and the chair lift and the lodge. I fell a few times though, and knocked some people over. I would like to thank those of you who have kept with me, I tend to get a little obsessive about skating.

I was very sad to hear that Heath Ledger died, yesterday. I loved him in 10 Things I Hate About You. Today on the way to the ski hills we watched 2 of his movies. He will be missed.

Anyways that is all for me for now. I hoped that you enjoyed my post.
More Later,

11 December 2007

Okay so I have major writers block! I have been racking my brain about what to post about next for days, and I have nothings, hopefully I will get some ideas soon. So you will have to listen to me ramble for a while. lol. Anyway it has been snowing a lot still here. I have my fingers crossed for a snow day tomorrow. It is almost as if all the snow we haven't gotten in the past few years decided to come this year. I love the snow but hate the cold, what can I say I'm weird. There hasn't been any talk of if its going to be a white or green Christmas this year. Well I should get back to my piles of homework, I could be really lame and say it is piling up almost as much as the snow, but I'll save myself the humiliation.

I thought I would leave you with a picture from Gilmore Girls...Random I know but I Love Jess what can I say.

SNOW DAY!!!

I love the snow!!! It has been a really long and tiring week, with early and late practices and a ton of projects, so I was so happy when I found out it was a snow day. It doesn't even look that bad outside, but hey I'm not going to complain! Anyway what better to do on a snow day then curl up with a good book and a blanket, and when you are done that you can go outside and make snow angels.
Here are some of my all time favorite books:
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

I love this book. It is one of the best books that I have read.

Books by Sarah Dessen
I love Sarah Dessen and I have read most of her books my favorites are:

I can't wait for her next book to come out.
I just read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice it was amazing, and I can't wait to read more of her books.

The Girls by Lori Lansens

This book is about two conjoined twins and their struggle through life.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares:

I loved the entire series. My favorite was the third summer for sure.
The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards

The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells is tres YaYa!

I have read these two book over and over again:

Love on the Lifts and Thrill Ride by Rachel Hawthorne are great light reads, total teen lit!
And of course HARRY POTTER, by the one and only J.K. Rowling.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Winter Wonderland

It SNOWED!!! We had our first snow today, and it stuck for the most part! I love the snow, until it says to long and turns brown that is. Isn't that a lovely picture :P! It looks so pretty on the trees. Anyway I have Winter Wonderland stuck in my head today.

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown

He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.

Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the other kids knock him down.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland

I know that it is a Christmas song, but I couldn't help singing it.

I am working on my coat post, so check back soon, it should be posted no later then Monday!
Have a good snow filled day everyone!
